this looks like an awkward position for those arms but i assure you it was completely normal.. he’s just throwing sand into the sea.
the house strobes went off right when i shot this one which helps give it that weird, bleached out effect. that’s hot shooter kyle mcalarney on the left and legendary ref ed hightower on the right.
caught this during warmups the first night of the maui invitational. wayne looks pretty relaxed before the opening round against chaminade.
both tylers were on the bench with injuries during the first game of the maui invitational. hansbrough is back now but zeller is out for the rest of the season.
even without these two, chaminade wasn’t much of a match for the tar heels.. 115-70.
okay i didn’t actually take this shot – my cousin rob did. but i like it. taken a few weeks ago during a weekend trip to visit family in indiana.

was able to catch the unicorns’ final game of the season again during my trip to nyc in october. this time they emerged victorious (though in the consolation match).
this actually marks a nice one year milestone from my very first post here at reidspice.com – here’s the 2007 unicorns team photograph from a year ago.
instead of hanging out with prince and jack white after the citizen’s band performance we went to a mellow little bar in the lower east side, drank margaritas and took turns taking pictures of each other. i think caitlin actually took this one of beth.
caught my hometown friends loquat at the cmj festival when i was in new york a couple weeks ago. ryan manley and crew were in fine form.

went to see matt hales solo at the swedish american hall. great, intimate show. he’s a superb songwriter and performer. also, the swedish american hall does not serve alcohol. seriously.
more costumes, more music, more art. similar to love fest but.. different. max brought the burning man LED project which went over quite well.
